The IPIA is well known for the quality of its conferences, business networking and social events – bringing people together to make meaningful connections, share ideas and create new opportunities, while building stronger relationships, encouraging collaboration and creating a genuine sense of community across our industry.
On December 2nd, we are very proud to return to the Crowne Plaza, Stratford-upon-Avon, for Recognising Excellence – combining a daytime Expo and Networking Lunch with our celebrated Gala Dinner and Awards night.
Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to make valuable new business connections, develop relationships with potential customers, and discover the latest developments in print technology and media. Then, as the evening begins, it is time to kick back and enjoy a fantastic night of celebration, live entertainment, laughter and good company.
At the heart of Recognising Excellence is the IPIA’s commitment to supporting our members and the wider UK print industry. We want to help businesses broaden their horizons, unlock growth through targeted collaboration, adapt to continually evolving market forces, and thrive through the strength of mutual support. That purpose is the driving force behind the event – creating an environment where our industry can connect, learn, celebrate and move forward together.
Of course, it is also the perfect opportunity to relax, enjoy yourself and catch up with friends old and new. And with Stratford-upon-Avon as the backdrop, why not make a little more of your visit? Surrounded by beautiful countryside, historic landmarks and all the character and charm of Shakespeare’s hometown, there is plenty to discover beyond the event itself.
The day will begin with the Recognising Excellence Expo, bringing together leading print technology, media and service suppliers to meet attendees, share their expertise and showcase cutting-edge products, solutions and services that could help businesses diversify, improve performance and unlock new opportunities for growth.
Importantly, the Expo will be highly interactive, with exhibitors hosting exclusive special offers, demonstrations and fun activities designed to get attendees involved, start conversations and create a lively atmosphere throughout the day.
With refreshments served throughout, at the heart of the Expo will be the Business Networking Hub – a dedicated space for making connections and getting conversations flowing. With print buyers, agencies, printers, trade houses and suppliers all in attendance, it will be a valuable opportunity to catch up with established contacts, meet new people, exchange ideas and spark partnerships that could lead to new business.
With a welcome fuel stop to recharge, attendees can enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch while continuing conversations and making new connections in the Business Networking Hub at the heart of the Expo.
The old saying that ‘people buy from people’ proves its worth time and again at IPIA networking events. A simple introduction, shared conversation or chance meeting can open unexpected doors – and regularly marks the beginning of valuable new relationships and lasting business partnerships.
Following a short address to attendees from the IPIA’s Chair, Alasdair Browne – who will share his perspective on critical market trends, emerging opportunities and the key drivers of future business growth – the Expo and Business Networking Hub will remain open until 15:00.
Attendees will then have plenty of time to continue conversations, explore the latest technology, media and services on show, and make further valuable connections before the daytime programme draws to a close.
Each year, the IPIA Membership comes together to reflect on the progress the Association has made, celebrate key achievements and highlights from the previous twelve months, and look ahead to the priorities and ambitions that will shape the year to come.
Members will also have the opportunity to play an active role in the future direction of the Association by voting for the open positions on the IPIA Council.
The evening begins in style with a champagne reception, offering guests the chance to relax, reconnect and raise a glass together, before sitting down to enjoy a sumptuous three-course dinner. Throughout the evening, guests can look forward to a wonderful atmosphere of celebration, entertainment and camaraderie, with IPIA President Charles Rogers delivering the keynote address and reflecting on the strength, achievements and spirit of our industry.
The Recognising Excellence Awards for many years has celebrated the work of Association Members and are presented in the categories below. Voting will open shortly for the awards and will close on October 10th. We will then celebrate the highly commended and winners on the 2nd December! Award categories as follows:
A firm favourite and much-loved tradition of the evening is IPIA Stand-up Bingo, with tickets going on sale during dinner. It brings plenty of fun, friendly competition and laughter to the room. The eventual winner will take home half of the prize pot, with the remaining proceeds donated to The Printing Charity and IPIA initiatives dedicated to supporting people and businesses across the print industry.
An evening of energising entertainment will follow the Gala Dinner, as the celebrations move up another gear and guests prepare to let their hair down. First up will be the IPIA’s legendary Stand-up Bingo – a firm favourite that never fails to fill the room with laughter, friendly competition and plenty of surprises.
From there, our live entertainers will take over, bringing the party to life and keeping the energy flowing late into the night. Expect fantastic music, plenty of dancing and a packed dancefloor as colleagues, customers and friends come together to celebrate another memorable year for the IPIA and the wider print industry.
Recognising Excellence has always been about more than business – it is also about celebrating the people and friendships that make our industry what it is. With infectious energy, brilliant entertainment and an incredible atmosphere, it promises to be a night to remember – and one that will have you calling for an encore long after the final song.
