How agile, cost efficient, and sustainable robot automation and colour labelling solutions support operations navigating intense market pressures will be showcased by Epson at the PPMA Show 2022, Hall 5, stand A52, Birmingham NEC, September 27 to 29.
The latest in robot automation will be demonstrated by the GX4 and GX8 high-power-density SCARA robots that deliver next level performance and flexibility ideal for medical device, electronics, and consumer electronics industries. Presented for the first time in the UK at the PPMA show visitors will enjoy an eye-catching display highlighting how the technology drives high speed automation.
The robots deliver high throughput, smooth motion control and heavy payloads with advanced Epson GYROPLUS technology. Offering multiple arm configurations, a 250-350 mm reach with the GX4 and a 450-650 mm reach with the GX8, the robots can achieve ultra-high precision with tasks including assembly, pick and place and intricate small-parts handling processes. Both robots have battery-less encoders, built-in Ethernet cables and other advanced features to support a remarkably low cost of ownership.
On the stand, too, will be the Scara T6 Robot Series. The highly compact, versatile entry-level production robot is great for automating handling materials. It has a built-in controller and is designed for easy installation and usability. Also displaying entry level robotics will be the VT6L all-in-One 6-Axis robot, prefect for a wide variety of simple applications.
Partners at the event will also be showcasing Epson’s robotic solutions. Magnum Materials (A81) and KTEC Group (A41) will present the capabilities of the LS3-Series SCARA robots suited to smaller workspace applications that require high-speed performance but at a low cost, while AM Labels (stand A23) will demonstrate the Scara T6 Robot Series.

Receiving its PPMA debut will be the ColorWorks 4000e. The on-demand, digital, four-colour label printer opens up new opportunities for businesses that need to quickly and efficiently manage a large number of SKUs. Printing on demand, on site, what is needed when it is needed, supports a sustainable approach with a reduction in waste. No longer outsourcing orders reduces miles travelled and contributes to a smaller carbon footprint. There is also no minimum order requirement saving materials and costs.
Samples will be created by Epson’s wide range of ColorWorks desktop label printers including the ColorWorks C6000PE, ColorWorks C6500PE (MK), ColorWorks C7500G with rewinder and unwinder, and ColorWorks C3500.
