From highly-successful trade shows through to charitable endeavours and new product launches, Premier has been played a fantastic hand of success in 2022.
In the first quarter, Premier reacted quickly to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, moving to support the ongoing humanitarian aid effort. It teamed up with volunteers from the Loughborough Student Union, to deliver donations Ukrainian refugee camps based in Poland.
The donation drive was headed up by Tomasz Cendrowski, an international student from Poland. The Lewisham Polish Centre, Tomasz and the Action Student Volunteers set about collecting donations of key items, such as medical equipment, hygiene products, dry foods, sleeping bags, torches and batteries. Three weeks later, the students had collected over a ton of donations that were then booked and palleted by Event Engineering and sent on their way to Lewisham Polish Centre; with Premier providing transport of the pallets from Loughborough to the depot, helping to save on additional transport costs.
Talking about the aid project, Tomasz comments: “I did it because I did not want to stand by and be inactive when help was urgently needed. I felt that a collection like this, would be the best way to mobilise people’s good will for a great cause as well as providing a chance for people to contribute in a meaningful way.”
Money can be donated online via justgiving.com/premier-paper with all funds raised going to the British Red Cross; providing psychosocial support and essentials such as food and fuel, to the people of Ukraine.
Back to the future
Premier has also been hailing the success of its attendance earlier in the year at Sign and Digital UK, with Brad Goldsmith Premier’s Marketing Services Manager reflecting: “Given the disruption and the negative impact that the previous years had had on everybody, we felt that conveying a positive message was an important aspect of what we wanted to achieve; Sign and Digital for Premier, was about ‘getting back to the future’ and that is where the core elements behind our stand design and message began.”
Premier’s stand took inspiration from the town square movie set of the 1985 cult classic ‘Back to the Future’. Complete with a courthouse mall and a movie spec Delorean DMC-12, the stand featured a 3.9m tall courthouse showing off an array of the suppliers impressive visual communications range.
Innovation abounds
In further product development news, the PCL range of self-adhesive material and die cut labels products by Avery are now available from Premier, supported by its Carbon Captured programme.
All of the money raised through the programme, goes directly to the Woodland Trust to plant native woodland, here in the UK; providing habitats for wildlife and green spaces for all to enjoy.
Meanwhile, to complement their existing board range, Premier has also introduced a new range of Lined Greyboards to their product portfolio. Eska Mono White and Eska Mono Black have joined Premier’s extensive choice of graphical and folding box boards. Both grades feature a smart, 3-layer composition with an internal layer that is produced entirely from 100 percent recycled fibres (post-consumer).
