The Debating Group

The Debating Group has been holding debates in the House of Commons since 1975. They bring marketers, politicians, journalists and the public together to discuss the contentious political issues which surround marketing. There are around six debates a year, usually in Committee Room 10 of the House of Commons.

The IPIA is proud to sponsor the debating group

Our team argue the case for the use of print, dispelling myths in the process. We promote its sustainability and highlight how clever print can elevate digital, championing the value of print as part of an integrated communication campaign.

Interested in attending?

Attending a debate is a great experience – as well as hearing the arguments presented by both sides of the debate, the floor is opened so there is an opportunity to put forward an opinion too. Afterwards there is usually networking at a local pub.

Taking place in the House of Commons, in Committee Room 12 (although please note: there is always the possibility of it being moved to another space in the Palace of Westminster due to Parliamentary business).
