Whistl Fulfilment, the UK’s largest provider of integrated multichannel fulfilment and carrier management solutions, has taken occupancy of a 335,000 sqft warehouse at Prologis Park, Wellingborough.  The warehouse is owned by Sqrrl Solutions.

The move to the site in Wellingborough supports the growth of an existing Whistl Fulfilment customer, a household name in the consumer electronics sector, and provides space for future growth.

The new site, built to the latest best-in-class sustainable practices, is rated BREEAM Excellent and EPC A. With capacity for 72,500 pallets, it has 3 Level access doors, 32 dock doors, 4 Euro dock doors with space for 80 HGVs.

Whistl Fulfilment operates six sites across the UK with 1.5m sqft of dedicated multi-channel fulfilment space and works with over 50 brands and retailers.  The Whistl Group diversified from Mail and Parcels into Fulfilment eight years ago.

The company announced in April that it was selected to provide Tesco F&F Online with fulfilment, delivery and returns management services to enable it to return to online retailing after a seven-year absence.

Whistl Fulfilment is continually investing in its capacity, most recently £7.5m in a 160,000 sqft multi-level mezzanine structure in Lutterworth, including automated conveyors enabling the processing of around 250,000 pick and pack items per week.

“We have the flexibility to listen to our customers and develop the best solutions that work for their individual needs. In this case our move into Wellingborough enables us to support our customer as it continues to build its fast-paced omni-channel retail presence in the UK and provide capacity for future growth from new customers.”
