1. Steps to take before calculating your claim using the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme

Find out what steps you need to take before you calculate how much you can claim for furloughed and flexibly furloughed employees under the new guidance which began on July 1st and will change again from August.

2. Tell HMRC and pay the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme grant back

If you’ve been overpaid, made a claim in error and were not eligible for the grant or would like to make a voluntary repayment, tell HMRC and pay some or all of the grant back. In the months to come to Government will be unveiling an audit scheme to check individual claims complied with the rules.

3. How different circumstances affect the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme

If you’re self-employed or member of a partnership find out how your circumstances can affect your eligibility for the scheme. There is now new advice about what supporting evidence you may be asked for if having a new child affected the trading profits you reported for the tax year 2018 to 2019.

4. Check if you can claim a grant through the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme

The online service for the first grant is closed. And there is now new detailed information and application guidance about the second and final grant.

5. Coronavirus and the economic impacts on UK: 16 July 2020

New experimental data on the UK economy details the impact on businesses from the coronavirus (COVID-19). The data was gathered  from the Business Impact of Coronavirus Survey; a 2-weekly survey designed to estimate the impact over the previous 2 weeks and the expectations for the following 2 weeks.
