The beginning of 2021 saw further expansion for Premier Paper, with the opening of a new regional distribution centre in the North West.

This new 30,000 square foot facility, located at Haydock, near St Helens, more than doubles Premier’s warehouse capacity in the region, and follows on from the opening of two other regional centres in Dartford and Bristol in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

This is a significant move which will see Premier further improve its service to the Northwest with comprehensive stocks of paper, display media and packaging products held locally for same day or next day delivery.

Premier’s Northern Operations Director, Mike Banks comments: “Our Liverpool and Manchester sales teams will continue to operate independently, based at the new regional facility, which is just 20 minutes’ drive from both Liverpool and Manchester city centres.”

“We believe that Premier already offers an industry leading service, but we are always looking at how we can do things better as our customer base develops and service requirements change,” continues Mike. He continues: “With a vehicle fleet made up of ten trucks and an articulated lorry, the location will enable us to improve our logistics service across the North West.”

“The new branch will keep extensive stocks of our core paper products, such as our Essential range, and the UPM Finesse and UPM Fine ranges that we have added to our portfolio,” Mike elaborates, before adding: “In addition Haydock will also be a regional stock centre for our other products and materials. A range of transit packaging will be held on site, together with our growing range of roll and sheet media for the sign and display market.

“Our aim is to offer the widest choice of products coupled with an industry leading service that continues to meet the changing needs of our customers.”
