Antalis has collaborated with creative agency Design Bridge and print specialists Rapidity to produce ‘Matches’—a playful sample piece that showcases the rich colours of the Keaykolour creative paper range.

Bringing Keaykolour to Life

Keaykolour is a leading brand of carbon-balanced, premium-quality fine paper products. It offers a diverse range of 45 colours and weights from 120gsm to 450gsm, ideal for creative and professional applications.

To help customers experience the tactile material first-hand, Design Bridge pursued an idea to reflect the creative paper collection’s playfulness and premium feel. The brief led to the creation of Matches—a set of illustrated paper cards housed in a matchbox-style package. Each card pairs two unexpected items that play on the names and tones found in the Keaykolour range.

“The colours within the Keaykolour range all have unique names that relate to the shades they represent. The names were used as inspiration—matching them with playful and thought-provoking illustrations to create a moment of interaction.”

Design That Delivers

Design Bridge brought the creative concept to life through sharp visual storytelling and clever use of colour. Each card demonstrates how Keaykolour handles digital print with clarity and richness, while the outer box—designed to resemble a matchbox—adds a sense of surprise and tactility.

Vicky Weatherington, Creative Papers and Specification Manager at Antalis. “The tactile and intriguing design immediately drew us in, and using the Keaykolour range around the puzzle concept was incredibly engaging. The box resembles a matchbox—and the material felt and looked fantastic. It was such a fun idea, and everyone enjoyed guessing the colour pairings.”

A Showcase for Print and Paper

Produced digitally on a 6 colour Xerox Iridesse Sheetfed press, by Rapidity, the Matches project also highlights the capabilities of modern digital printing on premium papers.

This printed set highlights the quality and versatility of our digital print,” added Cameron Walton. “Keaykolour’s finish shines through, and the design format gave us a perfect canvas to demonstrate our technical precision. We’ve had fantastic feedback from clients, and we’ll use this as a marketing piece to showcase our expertise and the importance of great materials.”

The Matches piece serves as a sample tool for Keaykolour and a standout example of what’s possible when designers, printers and paper specialists work together from the outset.  “The project reflects everything we at Antalis love about this range: bold colour, beautiful texture, and a real sense of play,” added Vicky.
