Kyocera now offer TASKalfa Pro 15000c UK customers the option to carbon offset their inkjet production printer whilst also automatically offsetting all the printed pages through the device via a UK native reforestation programme.

Kyocera can carbon offset the TASKalfa Pro 15000c inkjet production printer, plus the Kyocera genuine consumables it uses over the lifetime of the product through a simple bolt-on to the device purchase. This covers all elements of production, packaging, transportation, Kyocera consumables, plus Kyocera genuine water-based inks. Based on these factors, Kyocera have calculated how much carbon needs to be offset for each production print device.
Kyocera offset the TASKalfa Pro 15000c through myclimate, the same partner they use to offset their own UK business operations. Myclimate invest in international projects which are certified by Gold Standard. It is the most stringent certification for carbon offsetting projects and is supported by 60 NGOs worldwide. It is the only standard which certifies a project’s sustainable development factors, including co-benefit criteria like healthcare, job creation or reforestation. Currently Kyocera, via myclimate, support projects in Kenya and Nepal to reduce the demand for firewood through the introduction of more efficient stoves and a project in Madagascar supporting the manufacture and distribution of climate friendly solar cookers. Additionally, by collecting monthly data on customer production print usage, Kyocera will automatically and certifiably plant trees in North Antrim, Ireland, based on total paper consumption through TASKalfa Pro 15000c’s purchased in the UK. Reforesting is done by PrintReleaf at a rate of 8,333 sheets per standard tree, as detailed in the PrintReleaf Standard, and 100% net survivability of the trees is guaranteed. The PrintReleaf portal allows PrintReleaf customers to track their progress and share the ongoing impact of the Taskalfa Pro 15000c production printer.
