CFH Docmail is well known for offering leading print, mail and online communication solutions, with a dedicated focus on improving its customers business outcomes. It also has its sights set firmly on the future of print and ensuring its products and services remain relevant, highly valuable, and in-demand.
“We understand that effective communication with your audience is critical to your organisation. We can provide the perfect communications service whether you need to ensure compliance, improve outcomes, grow or digitally transform your business. We will be by your side every step of the way,” enthuses Adam Harwood, Managing Director of CFH Radstock.
Adam joined the company in 1998 from a high security paper manufacturer, and with a background in process engineering and quality assurance, he brought a core skillset and broad base of industry knowledge to his role in order to help drive an aggressive transition and growth programme. Starting as Process Control Manager he moved up through the ranks, was appointed as a director in 2002 and Managing Director in 2016.
A major Xerox and Canon technology user with a fleet of Bluecrest finishing platforms, CFH has continued to invest heavily in its portfolio of print and mail technology. Its latest purchases are a Canon Océ ColorStream 6000 Chroma Continuous inkjet web press and a Bluecrest MSE inserting system. The Canon press is providing clients with high quality documents at competitive market rates; the Bluecrest MSE inserter adds additional capacity and versatility to Radstock operations in order to accommodate increasing mail volumes.
Adam continues: “Investment in technology supports our Docmail hybrid mail service, in which mailing requirements can be ordered by customers using a number of entry points including Print Driver, API, client located server (Docbox) and the Docmail website.
Orders are fulfilled on site using a variety of printing, enclosing and mail sorting devices or can be made available using online services as required. We produce and deliver documents in the most cost-effective, efficient and environmentally-friendly way”.
“The Docmail service eradicates administrative headache for our customers and enables them to concentrate on their core business. It frees up time, saves them money, and is under continual development so that new features come on stream regularly making the service more flexible and user-friendly.”
Adam has seen massive increases in scale and capacity in his time at CFH Docmail, providing incredible flexibility and the advantage of economies of scale. An example given is that when he joined in 1998 CFH could fulfil only 15,000 letters in a working day, now it may be as many as 1.1 million. Underpinning this programme of expansion under control is an eight-fold increase in the size of CFH’s technical division in this period.
Adam continues: “We can provide a complete communications circle from taking a customer’s instruction, adding our creative technical know-how, fulfilling the communications piece, receipting responses, and processing those responses for use by the client”
Handling the full communications loop delivers immense value to our customers, and it gives them the ability to focus on their core business, while we take care of multi-channel communications outreach.”
A core specialism of CFH is catering for the communication needs of clients in the financial services, wealth management, education, local authority, and health sectors. The ability to provide the very highest levels of governance, process control, and attention to detail when servicing these sectors has given CFH a very strong competitive edge particularly with respect to applications of high complexity.
“CFH retains the capability for complex stationery manufacture, whether it is creating specialised security documents, or forms that combine multiple functions, our ability to work on bespoke projects is a core strength”. explains Adam, who adds: “We have always been pioneers; we developed and sold our own order processing software in the 1980s it just didn’t exist, we were the first company in the UK capable of manufacturing integral products in the 90’s and developed our first Hybrid Mail application in 2002”.
“Today, we are a multi-channel marketing and communications provider, our scale gives us very good economies of scale, and our depth of technical knowledge within our team makes for a very strong combination.”
Adam also points out that CFH has never forgotten its roots, and as such offers a comprehensive portfolio of business and advertising forms, as well as transactional and security documents in addition to a full trade print offering. Between this and its impressive digital print capabilities, the result is that CFH are highly flexible when it comes to meeting the ever-changing tides of the market.
