On 14th June, the IPIA team completed the Lake District Mighty Hike, with walkers including Katie Farr and Charlotte Pratt from Antalis, Elizabeth Bowerman from Thistle and Rose Print/YPIP, and Natalie Evans from the IPIA. The South Coast Mighty Hike, originally scheduled for 7th June but postponed due to poor weather, was successfully conquered on 27th September by Mark Stephenson from Fujifilm, Luke Wildey from Howden, and Natalie Evans. With an honorary mention to friends and partners that could join for both walks!

The half-marathon treks spanned 13.1 miles of tough, hilly terrain and took the teams just over five hours each to complete – peaks, breaks, and all. Together, they raised an incredible £1,970 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Notably, Mark Stephenson raised £800 and Luke Wildey £630, with every participant contributing to surpassing the fundraising pledge.

Each hiker aimed to raise at least £250, which is enough to fund a Macmillan Nurse for one day, providing essential medical, practical, and emotional support for people facing cancer. With 3 million people currently living with cancer in the UK, Macmillan’s mission to be there for everyone from diagnosis depends on donations like these.

“It was a deeply rewarding experience for us all. To know that every mile we walked translates directly into support for people facing cancer made every step worthwhile. We were very grateful for all that were able to donate for this amazing cause!”
