Jet Technology Group is a company designed and dedicated to an industry that thrives from innovation – and it has all the experience, knowledge and expertise to help your business grow and develop.

Jet Technology Group is an organisation born out of new opportunity for the digital print market – a gateway for customers to unlock new revenue streams, increase productivity and lower running costs.

Post 2019, several things radically changed in the print market. The forced closure of premises and working from home impacted the way we conduct business. Behind the scenes a big change was also happening with equipment manufacturers. Fujifilm, the powerhouse behind a vast array of advanced digital print technology, took the decision to come to Europe to offer the Fujifilm brand direct to the market they know so well.

A vision for the market

March forward to 2024 and the dramatic increase in e-comms volumes is no longer achieving the cut-through and ROI needed for marketing leaders who want to deliver differentiated messaging and stand-out. Suddenly high quality, personalised printed material has returned to the fore.

Fujifilm worked with the founders of Jet Technology Group to craft a highly skilled entity to bring exceptional capabilities with expert guidance to help develop its future UK customer base.

Recognising a gap in the market, the three founders of Jet Technology Group put customers front and centre of their operation. In what they call the “Big 3” their aim is to: help their clients attract and retain more customers, increase customer value and differentiation, and streamline cost models – whilst increasing efficiencies.

Jet Technology Group recognises that print-service-providers need an intimate level of account management. And the company want to enhance the customer’s post-sale experience by delivering that service between the manufacturer and customer, taking ownership of all service and consumable related issues, should they arise.

An expert team

Jet Technology Group was founded by Steve Andrew, with over a decade working in a service team and two decades of experience working within the Xerox partner channel; Andrew Crane, who spent over 25 years as one of Xerox UK’s leading print specialists; and Jason Longley, who previously served as national sales manager at Screen, specialised in high-speed continuous inkjet following eleven successful years at Konica Minolta. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise and combined attributes to the print industry.

The team have all worked through recessions over many years, however, as the industry shifted, Steve observes: “We wanted to assess the best breed of technology that works together, bringing growth areas for customers, automation to streamline processes, and solutions to save people time and money.”

It was this shift that inspired Steve, Jason and Andrew to create Jet Technology Group. Their vision was simple yet powerful: to be a partner that offered the most advanced technologies, tailored to market requirements.

This focus on delivering growth and efficiency is what sets Jet Technology Group says sets it apart. They do not just want to sell print hardware; they offer integrated solutions that help businesses operate more effectively. As Steve puts it, they are ‘solution evangelists’, who can take different technologies, put them together, and show customers how to grow their market share, increase profitability, and create more value on each job.

Unique strengths

What makes Jet Technology Group truly unique is the people behind it. Andrew’s career began with a commercial printer in Rochdale, where he learned the entire print production process from the ground up. He then spent 26 years at Xerox within their Graphic Communications team, rising through the ranks to work with some of the largest customers in the industry within commercial print, direct mail and transactional environments.  As he says: “I gained a good grounding in terms of the whole print production process, understanding the uniques and benefits of each technology and how they complement each other.”

Steve’s background complements Andrew’s perfectly. Starting as a service engineer in the early 1990s, he spent a decade working on the immerging digital technologies, fixing machines in print companies and in-plant print rooms, and later moving into sales and management roles, including leading the national production business for one of Xerox’s largest providers for many years. His hands-on experience gave him a deep understanding of both the technology and the business side of print.

Jason’s 25 years of experience includes roles at Imation, Konica Minolta and Screen as national sales manager for high-speed continuous inkjet. He now takes on the Commercial Director role at Jet Technology Group. Jason also worked as a Production Manager in pre-press and ran his own successful print business.

Their combined knowledge allows Jet Technology Group to offer more than just hardware or software; they provide true consultative support that spans across technology, business strategy, and operational efficiency. Andrew adds: “We understand the full gamut of technology right from entry level toner press’s up to industrial-level inkjets. We have a great understanding of what the requirements are within different market spaces—commercial print, transactional, and direct mail.”

This breadth of experience makes them a trusted resource for any print-service-provider (PSP) looking to expand their capabilities.

Value for PSPs

At Jet Technology Group, the focus is about the customers environment and what can be achieved. The Director’s focus is clear, there primary objective is sharing their knowledge and experience to enhance print companies reach to their own customers. They work closely with print companies to understand their business and help them find ways to grow.

Steve explains: “We want to talk about what they’re good at, the areas of the market where they’re strong, and how we can provide and share new lines of business which will have a positive impact on profitability but deliver sustainable benefits to both them and their clients.”

For Jet Technology Group, it is not just about selling equipment. It is about helping PSPs see the bigger picture—how they can enhance their services whilst saving time and money, and ultimately, increase their profitability. Steve says: “We want to give time back to business owners, by introducing full seamless end-to-end platform that will deliver them bottom-line increased profits, but also gift them the time to work on their business.”

This approach is especially valuable in today’s print industry, where many companies are stretched thin, having reduced staff or resources post-pandemic. Andrew emphasises that many print businesses, “don’t have the time or the staff they used to have, which is why automation and streamlined solutions are more critical than ever.

“We work with businesses to implement systems that allow them to grow without adding unnecessary overhead. We help customers create new opportunities by making processes more efficient, whilst reducing overhead, and driving initiatives to capture new business.”

Here for the long-term

At the core of Jet Technology Group’s ethos is a long-term commitment to its customers. Steve, Andrew, and Jason have seen the industry’s ups and downs over the years, and they have learned that building lasting relationships is key to success.

Their goal is not just to be a vendor but to be a trusted partner who helps PSPs navigate the challenges of the industry and come out stronger. They understand that the print industry is evolving, and they are here to help businesses grow with it. As Andrew comments: “We want to help our customers bridge the gap between the physical print world and the digital world, adding value at every step.”

By focusing on growth, efficiency, and long-term partnerships such as with Fujifilm, Vivid, XM Pie and Kyocera, Jet Technology Group is “much more than a technology provider,” says Steve, adding: “We are a business growth engine, helping print-service-providers not just stay afloat but thrive in an ever-changing market.”
