Optimus, a leading provider of Management Information Systems (MIS) for the Print and Graphic Arts Industry since 1982, is set to make a significant impact at Drupa 2024 with the launch of new products and strategic partnerships. These advancements aim to enhance customer service, streamline operations, and support sustainability efforts in the printing industry.
Optimus is excited to introduce the Mobile Customer Information Centre, a powerful browser-based platform designed to centralise all business data in an intuitive and easy-to-access mobile format. This platform offers instant access to current and historical customer information, enabling customer-facing staff to provide immediate and accurate feedback. Key features include:
- Intuitive navigation with seamless session history.
- Real-time status and timeline data without the need to open multiple windows.
- Access to customer details, jobs, proofs, deliveries, orders, invoices, and more from any mobile device, tablet, laptop, or desktop.
“Customer expectations are higher than ever before,” said Nicola Bisset, Group Managing Director of Optimus. “Our new Mobile Customer Information Centre empowers our clients’ staff with all the data they need at their fingertips to deliver exceptional service.”
Introduction of the Optimus Information Centre
In addition to the mobile platform, Optimus is launching the Optimus Information Centre, which centralises a company’s entire business data into a single intuitive hub. This platform allows users to view, analyse, export, or integrate information seamlessly. The Information Centre offers:
- Customisable dashboards and real-time alerts tailored to individual roles or departments.
- Enhanced functionality through browser-based architecture, improving scalability and performance.
- Key insights into sales, production, and financial data presented in a highly visual and responsive interface.
“With the Optimus Information Centre, we’re taking the next evolutionary step by centralising all that trusted data into one easily accessible place, providing greater transparency and driving more informed decision-making across the business,” added Nicola Bisset.
Partnership with Carbon Quota for Automated Carbon Reporting
Optimus is also proud to announce a new integration partnership with Carbon Quota to provide accurate and automated carbon reporting. This partnership addresses the growing demand from brand owners for detailed carbon footprint data, enabling informed decisions about the environmental impact of printed materials. The integration process includes:
- Inputting a print specification into the Optimus Core MIS system.
- Submitting and validating the specification, which is then processed by Carbon Quota’s machine learning algorithm.
- Calculating the carbon footprint for the job and displaying the value in the Optimus MIS.
“Carbon Quota provides a granular carbon footprint by assessing the environmental impact of substrates, production consumables, transport, and end-of-life product handling,” explained Steve Richardson, Optimus Group Commercial Director.
Collaboration with Element for Spreadsheet Automation
Another significant partnership is with Element, which brings an automation solution that allows users to import spreadsheets directly into Optimus to create quotes or jobs automatically. This solution:
- Validates and maps customer-provided data to the Optimus dash MIS.
- Enables quick creation of quotes or production jobs, reducing manual effort and error handling.
- Utilises Optimus Web Services for precise API communication, ensuring efficient and accurate data integration.
