Roland DG , the world’s leading provider of digital printing solutions, has joined forces with its long-standing partner, BWT Alpine Formula One Team, to celebrate the female talent in the vehicle wrapping industry with the second edition of its Wrap Academy event series.
Hosted at BWT Alpine Formula One Team’s state-of-the-art Technical Centre in Oxfordshire, this exclusive wrap experience brought eight of Europe’s female car wrappers together, alongside renowned vehicle wrapper and trailblazer in automotive customisation Morgane Quetier , for a unique wrap challenge. The event was designed to showcase and celebrate creativity, precision, and resilience – qualities shared by both elite car wrappers and motorsport professionals.
During the event, female wrappers and engineers – including BWT Alpine Formula One Team’s Aero Science and Technology Team Leader Paula Garcia Ruiz – discussed their shared experiences in a sector where females currently account for just 25% of automotive roles globally.
However, with the vehicle wrap market experiencing rapid global growth, this underrepresentation highlights a significant opportunity to bring more women into this dynamic, creative, and fast-evolving industry.
The global automotive film wrapping market is calculated at USD 10.04 billion in 2025 and is forecasted to reach around USD 44.83 billion by 2034. Driving this growth is the rising popularity of vehicle customisation and bespoke car graphics. Roland DG’s technology enables professionals to go beyond single colour wraps and create intricate, bespoke designs that truly reflect individual style or brand identity. This flexibility is transforming the wrap market, allowing for next-level personalisation that sets wrappers apart in a competitive industry.
The day featured inspiring talks, a behind-the-scenes tour of BWT Alpine Formula One Team, and a dynamic wrap challenge where participants demonstrated their skills on a Formula One show car. Megan Cadogan, founder of Miss Wrapz was crowned the champion, earning a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the BWT Alpine Formula One Team wrap crew in Las Vegas later this year.
