HP Large Format offers PSPs the perfect solution at every price point, to meet customers’ demands for existing applications and many exciting new ones. As the pioneer of Latex/water-based inks, we continue to drive the wide-format print market forward with environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions for all types of businesses.
Due to its conformability and translucent nature, HP Latex Ink Technology enables print service providers (PSPs) to print on many different substrates while retaining the look and feel of the media. For example, when printing on wood, you can still see and feel the wood grain texture; and when printing on brushed aluminium a metallic ink effect can be achieved. When it comes to vehicle wrapping, the conformability of the Latex ink is a key benefit.
The most significant benefit of HP Latex Ink Technology are its eco-credentials. Additionally, graphics printed with the technology can be cleanly recycled. Above and beyond that, the inks do not emit odour so they can also be used in sensitive environments such as hospitals and restaurants.
Our latest technology highlights are the recently launched HP Latex 700/800 Series with a white ink option. These new machines build on our pedigree in latex inks, and in association with the HP Latex R Series hybrid printer and the HP Stitch Dye Sublimation printers, can provide customers with an effective solution matched to their most common production requirements.
HP’s white ink technology is one of our latest innovations and is now being more commonly used to print onto foils and metallic films of multiple colours. This includes being able to use Pantone coloured films where a white ink can be printed first as a base layer that can then be overprinted with a process colour image. This allows correct colour matching even pre-coloured films and decorative substrates.
Of course, with latex inks on the HP R-series printer we can also print onto thicker rigid materials ranging from glass, metal, wood and more – and all without destroying the texture and tone of the material. Again, white ink is an option on the R-series also, so the versatility is almost limitless.
On the DesignJet side, we recently launched the HP DesignJet Z6 and HP DesignJet Z9 Pro Series that offer outstanding colour output suitable for the highest quality photographic and fine-art printing. Print large-format professional photo quality with confidence with an expanded colour gamut enabled by RGB HP Vivid Photo Inks. Produce exceptional fine art reproductions on a range of printing materials from canvas to fine art papers. They are also ideal for the production of in-store retail displays, posters, popups, roll-ups and all types of indoor promotional print to create appealing advertising on multiple types of materials to give your store a premium feel with high-impact graphics.
